K.E.R.N - Die Nachfolgespezialisten opens offices in Frankfurt and Mainz

The nationwide consulting firm K.E.R.N - Die Nachfolgespezialisten is strengthening its presence in Frankfurt and Mainz. Two new locations support small and medium-sized enterprises in generational change and corporate succession in Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate. The contact persons are Thomas Dörr for the Frankfurt location and Klaus Eckert at the Mainz location.

In Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate alone, around 15,000 companies will be affected by a company succession in the next ten years”, says Thomas Dörr. In addition to the issue of succession, it is also a question of securing the jobs of around 250,000 employees in these companies.

15,000 companies face business succession in Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate

In times of demographic change, the handover of business management to a family member or to an external business successor is a major challenge for the regional economy, even in the regions of Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate that are strongly characterised by small and medium-sized enterprises.

We are very familiar with the challenges associated with the highly sensitive and emotional topic of succession planning. After all, who likes to deal with the handover of their entrepreneurial responsibility? says
Klaus Eckert. For him, the consideration of emotional factors is just as important as the preparation of the objective valuation of a company and the attractive presentation of the company, as well as the clarification of tax and legal issues.
Topics.

It is important that business succession is planned early and as a strategic project, because a succession project takes one to three years on average.

Nils Koerber, founder of K.E.R.N - The Succession Specialists is pleased about the new opening of the two locations: With Thomas Dörr, we were able to gain a proven M&A specialist for medium-sized companies and Klaus Eckert, an experienced family entrepreneur. With this, we are also making our contribution to a successful generational change in the region, which is characterised by many strong medium-sized companies.”

Current: Workshop on business succession

K.E.R.N regularly organises workshops for potential business successors. The range of events is aimed at interested parties and entrepreneurs who want to take over a company as part of an age-related succession. More information on the current workshops is available at here.
