In a detailed Study the succession specialists at K.E.R.N analysed over 560,000 companies in Germany and divided them up according to the 79 chamber districts in Germany.
The shocking tenor of the succession study’s findings is that in just 5 years, i.e. 2022, a good 60% of family businesses nationwide will reach the age range of a succession solution and will have to act.
At the same time, low birth rates are followed by few successors.
